German operator says gas pumping via Yamal–Europe pipe stops
MOSCOW, Mar 4 (PRIME) -- Gas pumping via the Yamal–Europe pipeline from Russia to Germany has stopped despite its capacities having been booked for transit by Russian gas giant Gazprom, German gas operator Gascade said in a statement on Friday.
Poland’s auction platform GSA Platform has also confirmed the information. As of 9 a.m. Moscow time, the pipeline was empty.
On Thursday, Gazprom bought out Yamal-Europe’s capacity of about 750,000 cubic meters per hour out of the offered 3.7 million cubic meters. The company can use the capacity from 8 a.m. Moscow time on Friday till 8 a.m. Moscow time on Saturday.
